Aliy's Very First Day

Finely, we have been wanting a cart for a VERY long time. Well we picked up a cart off Craigslist that had been once been used by a Morgan, so we hoped it would fit Aliy, although we didn't expect it to fit perfectly because she is still growing. Then we had to wait for my daughter to have a day off that coincided with good weather. Today was the day. We harnessed Aliy and then lead her into the arena

where the cart was setting. She knew what it was, as she has seen other horses pull carts before. Aliy practically stepped into the shafts by herself, which really is an unsurprising thing for her to do.

This short video is how our day progressed, less than an hour, with lots of praise and reward for a VERY good job.
