About Me,

I'm Robin and I've been training through Positive Methods for a lot of years, more than 30 years actually. Being positive works and I've trained a variety of species using the methods I can pass on to you.

My methods come from experience and a mixture of different training ideals combined to be solely my own.  Based foremost on communication, coupled with touch and guidance, it works with any species and capable of reaching any goal. Aliy's goals: Dressage, Driving, Working Equitation, and to be an All-around awesome partner.

Thistle is proof of how well positive training works. Once she was described by several people as "Vicious!", "Untrainable" even "Dangerous." Quite a few different horse-people had tried to work with Thistle, before Cadence found her, and gave up. Cadence followed my instruction and now has a wonderful trusting horse.

I'd be happy to talk to you if you would like to learn more.

Lessons Avaliable

Aliy, 3 years old, doing a head down, which has a calming effect in horses. This position helped her to be the only horse, out of several, to actually walk around with the bags of rattling tin cans on her back. She received lots of compliments that day during a "supposed" De-spooking Clinic we attended for the opportunity to show off. There wasn't any obstacle that Aliy didn't complete and while she showed interest in everything, because it was fun, there was no spooking.
