A Good Day for a Ride

The girls and a friend of theirs went out for a two hour ride with Archer and Thistle before being chased back in by an approaching thunderstorm. Both horses are becoming accustomed to being ridden barefoot over rocky trails at a walk. We plan to keep them at a walk for the next ten weeks. Once the ten weeks are completed Keeley and Archer will begin working on improving their fitness, hoping to do some long distance stuff in the future. Tomorrow should be an obstacle and ground work day in the arena for each of them. That is unless the full day of thunderstorms that is predicted materializes.
