Friends at Last !

It took more than a week but I think both Archer and Thistle may have finally made friends. This morning when we went out both Thistle and Archer were standing side by side waiting for breakfast. Over the holiday weekend we had moved Thistle back into her old paddock having kind of given up hope. Nevertheless Monday we tried again and moved Thistle back in with Archer. We also added a second water trough.

This morning was the first morning we didn’t find any new kick or chomp marks on either mare. Archer doesn’t seem to be guarding the water trough anymore and Thistle is a lot more relaxed than she was before. Both mares ate nicely in their assigned place.
